foundation for the internal combustion engine in American automobiles.
After a year in production, the company was in trouble financially and James
Whiting came in to take over. Whiting brought William Durant in to manage
the new company, and this would change the face of the company from the
start. Durant started the General Motors company, which today is one of the
largest companies in the automotive industry. Buick sits a top the brand as
the entry-Luxury brand, just below Cadillac. With offerings such as the
